FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are your fees?
For a divorce with no minor children or property: $149.00
Fees for a divorce with children and/or property: $179.00
We also charge an extra fee of $16.00 for shipping and handling of your documents by FedEx®

What information is required for my divorce to be completed?
Although your completed forms will often be quite lengthy, the information that we require is relatively simple. You may click on the Order Form button to see what is required.

How exactly does this process work?
We complete all required documents after you provide us with the required information. Your documents are sent to you within 48 hours. At that point they must be signed and notarized and sent in to your local district court. We will provide you with complete instructions on how to sign and notarize the completed documents and which district court to submit them to. In California, in all divorce cases, there is a 6 months period between the date your documents are filed with the courts and when your marriage is legally terminated. You will receive your final decree from the court. Should you have any questions please contact customer support at our toll free number

What if my spouse will not sign the divorce documents?
In California we can prepare a document so that your spouse will be served directly by the sheriff only if there are no minor dependant children and there is no property to divide. This process is not necessary if your spouse will sign.

In California if there are no minor dependant children and no property to divide and your spouse ignores service by the sheriff, we can then complete a form so that you may have your Decree of Divorce issued by the court without your spouse's signature.

What if my spouse resides out of state?
That is no problem as we will complete forms for your spouse to sign wherever they reside so that you may have the court issue your Decree of Divorce.

How do I receive my final judgment?
There is no hearing for your spouse to attend and only the party filing will need to go one time to pick up the final judgment. The court will mail you the date for you to go and pick up the final judgment. If you cannot attend the date assigned there will be a number to call to pick a different date. It only takes about ten minutes on average to pick up your final uncontested divorce judgment.

What if I do not know my spouse’s whereabouts?
Unfortunately, because of our low costs, we do not complete forms for this type of dissolution. You may wish to consult an attorney in your area that can provide you with legal advice regarding this type of dissolution.

How long does the process take to be finalized?
All orders are shipped via FedEx within 48 hours of receipt by our staff.

What if I have minor children or property with my spouse?
We will complete a divorce settlement agreement for you provided that you and your spouse have decided on how you wish to divide your property and assets as well as any custody arrangements you have agreed upon for the minor Children under 18.

Can I change my name back to my maiden name?
Absolutely. This can be done by simply providing us with your maiden name. There is no extra charge for this service.

When will I receive my completed divorce forms?
All completed documents are mailed directly from our office within 48 hours from the time you complete the divorce intake sheet.
